Cal Sensors has developed and is a volume producer of photoconductive lead sulfide (PbS) and lead selenide (PbSe) infrared detectors / Infrared Sensors which cover the 1 µm to 5.5 µm spectral region.
Our SCD-13 and SCD-15 IR detectors are manufactured via well established and superbly controlled processes, and because of their proven performance, have become the infrared detectors of choice by most system manufacturers worldwide.
This section is intended as a design guide to:
IDA (Integrated IR Detector Assembly)
Uncooled SCD-13 Detectors (Ambient Packaged)
One Stage TEC SCD-13 Detectors (50° typical DT)
Two Stage (1.5W) TEC SCD-13 Detectors (60° typical DT)
Two Stage (2.5W) TEC SCD-13 Detectors (75° typical DT)

MCD Array — For applications that require only a few detector elements, each element can be bonded to a dedicated package pin. These also include packages with multiple detector types.
LMA Array — For applications requiring a larger number of elements, multiplexing provides a convenient way to reduce the package pin count. Signal conditioning is also provided.
After years of extensive development and testing, Cal Sensors has developed low cost, high reliability pulsable and steady-state emitters specifically designed for use with infrared detectors.
Cal-Source infrared emitters, constructed with rugged, proven packaging techniques developed at Cal Sensors, offer a new level in state-of-the-art design and performance:
