The Mk2 Peak Output Simulator (POS) is a test instrument designed to reproduce a stored
*ogue trace accurately and reproducibly. Although originally designed to produce test
traces for GC, HPLC, and Auto Analyzer applications it and can be used for validating
many t*es of data acquisition systems.
The Mk2 POS is a completely new design and uses a precision 16bit Di*al to Analogue
converter with a highly stable reference voltage.
The data to be output can be stored in up to three internal eeproms each able to store 16200
data points (steps), each step is a 16bit data point having usable resolution of 1 in 64000.
Any number of files can be stored in plug-in memory cards (Smartcard), each able to store
16200 data points, this allows custom programs to made as required for each application.
Each file can be pided into up to 10 separate programs.
Di*al input & output signals are available for remotely starting the unit and starting the
data acquisition system being tested.
Although the instrument emulates the previous models which used a 1*it DAC, the true
potential of the instrument will not be realized until new data traces are added either to the
internal eeproms or via the plug-in Smartcard.
The user can generate their own test data and send it in a suitable format to GJC
Instruments to be programmed into the internal eeprom or the Smartcard. A set-up charge is
would be made for the first program, after that no extra charge will be made.All instruments are supplied with the following: -
Mains ‘wall block’ power supply with a choice of 240v 3 pin UK, 220v 2 pin European or 120v 2 pin USA.
Analog Output cable : BNC plug to bare wires, for connection to user’s equipment
Di*al I/O cable: 8way mini-din plug to bare wires, for connection to user’s equipment.
Protective high visibility (orange) rubber boot with tilt foot.
UKAS traceable calibration certificate is supplied as standard (UKAS is the UK equivalent of NIST)
Black plastic carrying case with foam inserts. All cables etc: are packed within the carrying case.
Optional Paddle board is available to facilitate wiring to the equipment being tested.
