概述与供应商和平台无关的 OPC 统一架构 (UA) 是工业 4.0 通信标准，也是用于从非西门子设备访问 S7-1500 数据的标准机制。 许可目标系统 (CPU) 上提供有 OPC UA Server，可使用运行系统许可证来激活。

运行系统许可证分为面向不同目标系统的三个级别提供： 目标系统OPC UA S7-1500 小型OPC UA S7-1500 中型OPC UA S7-1500 大型ET 200SP CPU 1510SP/1512SP/1515SP（开放式控制器）

运行系统许可证包含 OPC UA（Server，将来也包括 Client）的证书，可在相应目标系统上运行（包括 F、C 和 T/TF，固件版本 V2.0 及更高版本）。
