海绵泡沫压缩疲劳试验机主要用于泡沫聚合材料的往复压缩试验，测定残余变形率。由此可以了解材料的动态疲劳特性。可以满足我国汽车工业标准QCT56-93《汽车座椅衬垫材料性能试验方法》。还可满足日本汽车工业标准JASOB408-84等国外标准的要求。
