The LY2517 is a high frequency, asynchronousboost converter. The intermal MOSFET can supportup to 10 White LEDs for backlighting and OLEDpower application, and the internal soft startfunction can reduce the inrush current. The deviceoperates with 1-MHz fixed switching frequency toallow small external components and to simplifypossible EMI problems. Moreover, the IC comeswith 46V over voltage protection to allow inexpen-sive and small-output capacitors with lower voltageratings. The LED current is initially set with the

external sense resistor Rs.
